The Taliban’s Public Benefits Ministry has announced that the Salang highway, which was blocked due to snow, has not been reopened yet.
The ministry said today (Saturday, 15 Jedi) that the personnel of the Salang Department of Preservation and Protection are trying to clean this highway and open it to traffic.
Salang highway was completely blocked to traffic yesterday due to snowfall.
The highway has been blocked to freight vehicles since Thursday.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Public Benefits also said that blocked communication routes in some of the country’s provinces have not yet been reopened.
The ministry added that in Ghazni province the communication routes of Malestan and Navar districts are blocked, but the Ajrestan-Jaghuri communication route has been opened.
The Taliban Public Benefits Ministry has said that the Qom Kotel route in Sarpol province, the Lal and Kerman route in Ghor province and the Ashtarli-Nili route in Daikundi province are also still blocked.
Communication routes of these provinces were blocked during the snowfall in the past two days.
