A passenger plane took off from Hong Kong Airport’s runway in the early hours of 2025 this week and landed on the ground in the final moments of 2024; a rare occurrence that occurs only in the early hours in the new year.
Cathay Pacific Flight CX880 departed Hong Kong International Airport at 12:21 am local time on January 1, 2025 and landed in Los Angeles at 8:33 pm local time on December 31, 2024 after about 12 hours of flying.
Of course, the structure of space-time is still intact, and this aircraft has not landed before taking off; rather, this happened merely due to time divisions and crossing the International History Line (IDL).
The “International History Line,” which is an almost vertical line, runs through the 800th half of the Pacific Ocean, and ships and airplanes move back on a calendar day as it passes from west to east.
