The UN Population Fund says it provided health care to 13 million and 700,000 people across Afghanistan over the past year.
The UN organization released its annual report today (Thursday, 25 Mar), said 78 percent of health care recipients in 2024 were women and girls.
The Afghanistan section of the United Nations Population Fund, added, has provided fertility, maternal, infant, children and adolescents care to the citizens of Afghanistan through 998 service centers.
The report also states that the scope of the UN Population Fund activity in 2024 has expanded to 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
In the past year, 89 new health centers were created by this organization and 58 mobile health teams were sent to remote and difficult-to-pass areas.
