18 thousand and 595 hectares of wheat has been sown in the center and districts of Khost this year, which yielded about 50 thousand tonnes.
Khost province official said in a newspaper today (Monday, July 26) that wheat harvest has increased by 12 percent this year.
According to the newspaper, under the umbrella of the Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Department, modified wheat seeds and chemical fertilizers were distributed to 19 thousand and 200 farmers, which caused the same, to increase the crop of wheat.
Some farmers also say that this year’s wheat harvest was better than other years.
It is a reminder that the local officials of Kandahar also said that there has been a significant increase in wheat harvest this year.
