According to an exclusive report by Bollywood Hungama, the magnum opus starring Mahesh Babu, global superstar Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and the acclaimed Prithviraj Sukumaran has been officially titled “Varanasi.”

The report cites a highly-placed source who revealed that the title is deeply intertwined with the film’s narrative. “The name of the film is indeed Varanasi,” the source confirmed. “It is said that the title rights were with somebody, but SS Rajamouli’s team reached out and secured the rights. It is an apt title as per the story of the film. Hence, they were very keen on naming their film Varanasi.”
