A landslide in Nuristan killed two people and left three others injured.

The Taliban governor’s office in Nuristan announced that two workers of the project died and three others were injured due to the mountain sliding on the road construction of Nuristan-Kner.

Fereydoun Samim, the spokesman of the Taliban governor in Nuristan, said that this event took place around 11:00 before breakfast today (Wednesday, March 2nd) in the center of this province.

He added that a rescue team has arrived at the scene and is rescuing people trapped under the rocks.

A spokesman for the governor of Nuristan said that these numbers are preliminary and that the number of casualties may increase.
