Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates will contest a tri-nation cricket series in Sharjah from August 29 to September 7, serving as key preparation for the Asia Cup 2025.
The series kicks off tomorrow, August 29, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium with Afghanistan taking on Pakistan in the opening match.
The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with each side playing the others twice. The top two teams will qualify for the final on September 7.
Organizers say the Sharjah Tri-Series offers valuable match practice and tactical preparation before the Asia Cup, which begins on September 9 in the UAE.
Fans are anticipating a thrilling start, with tomorrow’s Afghanistan–Pakistan clash expected to deliver high intensity and set the tone for the competition.
Beyond fine-tuning player combinations and strategies, the series also highlights Sharjah’s enduring reputation as one of cricket’s most iconic venues, reinforcing its legacy in the sport.
