Rashford Debuts, Yamal Shines as Barcelona Thrash Como 5-0

Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford made his first appearance for Barcelona on Sunday, while teenager Lamine Yamal struck twice in a 5-0 win over Italian side Como in the Joan Gamper Trophy.

The reigning Spanish champions wrapped up their pre-season preparations with an emphatic display, also featuring a brace from Fermin Lopez and a goal from Raphinha. The match took place at the Johan Cruyff Stadium within Barça’s training complex, as the Camp Nou renovation continues.

Rashford, who joined on loan two weeks ago, delivered the cross for Raphinha’s goal but later missed an open goal.

Before kickoff, goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen addressed fans as captain, just days after resolving a dispute with the club over his back injury. The 33-year-old said it was time to “look forward” and fight for all possible trophies.

Como, managed by former Barcelona and Arsenal star Cesc Fàbregas, are touring Spain in preparation for the new season. Their previous friendly against Real Betis had turned violent, with two players sent off after a brawl, though Como won 3-2.
