JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia (dawatmedia24):– Afghan Wushu athlete Mohammad Jafar Sultani has opened Afghanistan’s campaign on a winning note, defeating his Yemeni rival in a compelling match at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games currently underway in Saudi Arabia.

The Afghanistan Wushu Federation (AWF) officially announced the victory on its social media channels, celebrating Sultani’s successful start in the prestigious multi-sport event. The specific score and the weight category of the bout were not immediately disclosed, but the federation confirmed a decisive win for the Afghan athlete.

Sultani’s triumph injects early momentum into the Afghan contingent as they compete against top athletes from the Islamic world. His performance underscores the growing prowess of Afghan martial artists on the international stage.

The action for the Afghan Wushu team is set to continue with two more key matches scheduled for today. Teammate Shamsuddin is poised to face a challenging opponent from Azerbaijan, while another national athlete, Asadullah, will step onto the mat to compete against a contender from Kyrgyzstan. These matches are crucial for Afghanistan’s prospects of securing medals in the tournament.
