Mustafa Rajabi Mashhadi, CEO of Iran Power Production, Transmission and Distribution Company (Tawanir), has said that exports of electricity to Afghanistan and Pakistan have resumed after the decrease in Iran’s domestic needs.
He added by stating that the amount of electricity exports to these two countries is 150 megawatts: “We also import electricity from two countries Armenia and Turkmenistan.” »
Regarding the increase in export, the CEO of Tanir said that exports will remain at the same level, unless something happens in the immediate negotiations with neighbouring countries, but for now there is no agenda.
This is while the executive chief of Breshna Company had previously said that 80% of Afghanistan’s electricity is supplied from foreign sources and that now 40% of the country’s population has access to electricity, and in the next two years this amount will be considerable.
