Pakistan’s Transgression and Crime: A New Chapter in Hostility

On the night of Friday, October 9th, around 9:00 PM Kabul time, the leaders of the hostile Pakistani regime added another dark chapter to their long record of criminality and animosity towards Afghanistan. They did so by bombing the beautiful city of Kabul and a civilian market in the Margah area of Paktika province, near the Durand Line.

The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed these attacks in a tweet, stating:

“Pakistan once again violated Afghan airspace. This country bombed a civilian market in the Margah area of Paktika province, near the Durand Line, and also violated the airspace of the capital, Kabul.
This action is an unprecedented, violent, and heinous act in the history of Afghanistan and Pakistan. We condemn this aggression against Afghanistan in the strongest terms and consider the defense of our country’s territory our legitimate right.
Following such actions, no matter how critical the situation becomes, the consequences will fall upon the Pakistani military.”

A Fabricated Justification Exposed

Initial reports from Pakistani state, semi-state, and military-affiliated social media networks attempted to justify this blatant aggression against a sovereign nation. They claimed the target was the leader and members of the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) leadership, who they alleged were present in Afghanistan. They even announced the death of the TTP leader.

However, within hours of the airstrikes, the leader of the Pakistani Taliban himself appeared in a live video message from across the Durand Line. He confirmed he was safe and in good health, vehemently denying the Pakistani media’s claims. This revelation poured cold water on the lies fabricated by Pakistani propagandists and their proxies.

It appears Pakistani authorities had planned a narrative: if any members of the TTP were killed in these aggressive strikes, they would pompously announce to the world, “We attacked the Pakistani Taliban,” while simultaneously accusing the Afghan government of supporting terrorists. However, following the broadcast of the TTP leader’s live message and the lack of any confirmed TTP casualties, this plan collapsed. Consequently, the spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry of Defense resorted to vague generalities during a press conference, shamelessly declaring, “Wherever the enemies of Pakistan are, we will eliminate them.”

Mixed Reactions Within Afghanistan

This attack on our beloved Afghanistan’s sovereignty has elicited varied reactions from different segments of the population. Some, with conveniently short memories, echo the Pakistani narrative and place the blame on the Taliban, arguing, “If the Afghan Taliban did not support the Pakistani Taliban, this would not have happened.” As if Pakistan’s hostility towards Afghanistan began only yesterday because of the TTP!

Others speculate that this is pressure from the United States on the Taliban. Another group believes the reason for these aggressive attacks is the burgeoning friendly relations between the de facto authorities and India, including the recent visit of the acting Foreign Minister to India. Some even implicate the Taliban’s relations with Russia in this matter.

The Broader Geopolitical Context

Undoubtedly, these attacks are closely linked to international developments and the restrictions being placed on the strategic interests of major powers. Pakistan, like a mischievous monkey, is attempting to exploit this situation for its own hostile purposes against Afghanistan. The successive visits of Pakistani military and intelligence officials to the United States, coupled with the buzz around active intelligence measures by figures like Zalmay Khalilzad, suggest that the U.S. is using various channels—including escalating threats and military pressure via Pakistan—to coerce the Taliban into cooperating with their strategic objectives in the region.

The Repercussions: National Unity and Swift Retaliation

An analysis of the regional military situation and public sentiment clearly indicates that Pakistan’s aggression has served as a powerful impetus for national unity and solidarity among the Afghan people. It has united the populace against a common, malicious foreign aggressor.

On the other hand, the repercussions of these attacks, which were supposedly aimed at eliminating the TTP leadership, were felt almost immediately inside Pakistan. The Pakistani Taliban responded with the utmost severity. The Pakistani newspaper Jang, in its October 10th edition, reported on a massive attack on a police training center in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They published numerous photos showing the center engulfed in flames. The report stated that a number of attackers breached the main gate with an explosion, engaged in an armed clash inside, and killed or captured all the personnel within the training center.

Conclusion: The Inevitable Outcome of a Reckless Policy

This is the inevitable result of Pakistan’s aggressive and oppressive policies. Pakistan is already grappling with deep political and economic crises. Incidents like these act as an accelerant, intensifying these crises and making the possibility of internal strife, even to the point of the country’s fragmentation, a tangible risk.
