The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest men’s ODI and T20I rankings, bringing significant changes for Afghanistan’s star cricketers.
In the ODI all-rounder rankings, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza has climbed to the No. 1 spot, moving ahead of Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi. Omarzai, who previously held the top position, now sits in second place, while veteran all-rounder Nabi has slipped from second to third place.
Raza’s rise reflects his consistent match-winning performances for Zimbabwe in both batting and bowling, while Afghanistan’s Omarzai and Nabi remain among the top three thanks to their all-round abilities and recent strong contributions in international cricket.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has also improved his position in the ODI all-rounder rankings, moving up from eighth to seventh place.
In the T20I all-rounder rankings, Mohammad Nabi has climbed from third to second place with 231 points, overtaking Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan. However, India’s Hardik Pandya now occupies the No. 1 spot. Rashid Khan also made gains, rising from 19th to 16th place.
Afghan batsmen have also advanced in the T20I batting rankings. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, previously ranked 19th, is now at 18th place, while Ibrahim Zadran made a significant leap from 32nd to 20th place, highlighting his growing consistency as a top-order batter.
These latest updates reflect Afghanistan’s growing impact on world cricket, with multiple players consistently featuring among the top international performers across formats.
